How do I return a product?

To return an item, please ship the item back to:

Please enclose a copy of your order or your packing slip and your RMA form in the box along with the items you are wanting to return. Your RMA number is your order number. There is no need to call us to alert us of your return or to get an RMA number.

What is your return policy?

We offer the easiest and most flexible return policy in the industry. We want you to feel secure that your purchase is backed by the most customer focus cable distributor on the web. We are dedicated to ensure your satisfaction. The highlights of our policy:

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, TriangleCables offers a 90 day right of return on most items subject to the terms and conditions identified below.

Defective Products: Within 90 days all defective products can be returned. TriangleCables will pay for return of the product. We will either refund your money or replace the item at the customer's discretion.

Cables will not be considered defective if:

  • The length tolerance is within minus ¼" or plus 2", for cables up to 3 feet.
  • The length tolerance is within minus 2" or plus 6", for cables between 3 feet (plus) to 8 feet.
  • The length tolerance is within minus 6" or plus 11", for cables over 8 feet.
  • The cable passes the minimum standards for its type or category.
  • The color is any shade or variation of the color ordered (no exact color matching).

Return freight is the responsibility of the customer, excluding defective products or TriangleCables errors. We recommend that you insure the package, as you are responsible for risk of loss on all returned packages. We also recommend that you make sure you pack the carton properly for return, as TriangleCables will not issue credit for product damaged en route back to us due to poor shipping practices.

Returned product must be clean, undamaged, and complete with all manuals, accessories, and documents and packaging. The items must be in a resalable condition free of any non-removable labels or writing on the product or product packaging, and the UPC code must be intact for you to receive credit. The product must also have with it upon return to us a copy of the original invoice or packing slip, and the appropriate RMA paperwork must be completed and in our possession (preferably with a copy enclosed in the box upon return). Products that are received by us that do not meet these conditions will be subject to handling charges and/or will not be processed as returns, and we will attempt to contact you to determine the disposition of these goods prior to their disposal. All items must be returned in a "re-sellable" condition. "re-sellable" condition is solely determined by TriangleCables.com

For products sold by TriangleCables for other manufacturers, your return rights for non-defective items are subject to the rules of that manufacturer. If that manufacturer does not allow for returns on opened items, there is no provision for return to TriangleCables (except in cases of manufacturer defects, which may be covered under a manufacturer's warranty). If that manufacturer allows returns but charges restocking fees, their fees will be applied. Most manufacturers only allow returns within 30 days, so you must process returns of products from other manufacturers back to us within 20 days of the original invoice date to allow us 10 days to process the return internally, and failure to do so will negate your right of return to us.

Bulk Cable that is cut to customer specified lengths is not returnable.

Custom cables and other build-to-order products are non-cancelable and non-returnable. All custom cables are guaranteed to be free of defect in workmanship or components, but are not guaranteed for fit of purpose to the application. In cases where the customer has provided a configuration we do guarantee that the construction of the cable matches the customer-provided specification. Cables deemed defective will be replaced or repaired at our sole discretion. Custom cables that were ordered incorrectly may be returned for rework at a charge, please realize that the turnaround of these items is subject to our production schedule, and expedite fees may be necessary to provide immediate repair or replacement.

TriangleCables reserves the right to authorize product returns beyond 90 days from the invoice date in some cases. If the product is accepted after 90 days, credit will be issued toward FUTURE PURCHASES ONLY.

All credits from RMAs must be used within one calendar year of issue.

Can I change or cancel my order?

If you wish to cancel, or change all or part of an order, we suggest that you call 1-888-519-9528, immediately to speak to a customer service agent. If the order has not been shipped we will be happy to correct, change or cancel the order per your instructions. In the case of an order that has already been shipped, we will follow our no hassle return policy.

Custom Made Products: Once production has begun, the order cannot be canceled - No exceptions.

What happens if an item I order is out of stock?

In-stock orders will usually be shipped the same day, if the order is placed by 5 PM, CST. Out-of-stock, or custom items may require a lead time between 2 to 45 days.  You will be contacted by customer service through the email address you provided if your item is out of stock.

TriangleCables will not be held liable for damages caused by un-timely delivery of ordered items for any reason, within or outside of our control. For all urgent orders, the customer assumes all of the risk, regarding timely delivery of the product(s).

Damages for un-timely delivery of the product(s) will be limited to the remedies and/or warrantees offered by the carrier (United Parcel Service, or other).

Please note that our merchandise may ship from various different warehouses in the USA. Some orders may come from two, or more shipping locations. Each package will usually be marked with the order number (or your purchase number), on the label to identify the shipment. If you have not received your entire "ground" order within 5 working days, please inform us and we will track the package(s) for you.

What if my product was damaged during shipping?

Any damages or losses incurred during shipment should be reported to the TriangleCables at once. All claims for product shortage or damage must be made within 1 day of receipt of shipment by fax, telephone, or email. It is the responsibility of the customer to inspect all merchandise for any physical abnormalities, or obvious damage within 1 day of receipt of the merchandise.

What if there is a discrepancy with my order fulfillment?

It is your responsibility to confirm that you received all of the items as indicated on your packing slip. Failure to report shipping discrepancies within five days prevents us from accurately problem-solving the issue, and variances reported after five days will not be credited regardless of circumstances

Do your products come with a warranty?

We provide a lifetime guarantee against defects and labor on all custom and distributed cables. Please note that CUSTOM CABLE ASSEMBLIES ARE NON-RETURNABLE AND NON-CANCELLABLE. Warranties do not apply to damage from misuse or any consequential damages.

Other important policies include:

  • Opened electronic non-defective product is not available for return, exchange, or credit.
  • Many of our products carry Manufacturer's Warranty Only.
  • All other products, including network electronics, power protection and peripheral sharing products are covered by their manufacturer's warranty, which is subject to change without notice.

The following will apply to all warrantees:
This warranty does not extend to products, which have been subjected to neglect, accident, improper use or improper installation. This warranty does not cover damages from lightning, or electrical forces that exceed the standard range of operation. It is the responsibility of the customer to inspect all merchandise for any physical abnormalities, or obvious damage, and report it to us within 1 day of receipt of the merchandise. This warranty is in lieu of any other warranties, expressed or implied, including but not limited to the merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose and of any other obligation or liability on the part of TriangleCables. This warrantee covers defects in materials and /or workmanship only, and agree to remedy such defect at no charge provided the defective product is returned transportation pre-paid, to us. At our sole discretion, we will either repair, or replace the product, or refund the original purchase price. The warranty period begins on the date of delivery of the product(s). Before returning any product, the customer must first obtain an RMA number, and shipping instructions, from a customer service agent.
